Sensei Charles Neri learned his Karate in the Philippines at the Davo base of the Philippine Shotokan Karatedo Association International (PSKAI) under founding headmaster Ricardo M. Tacay, 8th Dan Red and White Belt. During a recent trip to the Philippines in January 09, Sensei Neri undertook to become an affiliate of the PSKAI and swore in as the chief instructor of the PSKAI Kerry, Ireland Chapter.
As well as being a member of the Funakoshi Shotokan Karate Association (FSKA), Kerry Shotokan Karate Club is now affiliated to PSKAI and became the 22nd chapter of the PSKAI and the first chapter in Europe.
